Georgia DOR is revising State alcohol license processes
The Georgia Department of Revenue (DOR) is revising State alcohol license processes. The changes went into effect March 1, 2016. The DOR wants businesses applying for beer/wine licenses to file all alcohol license applications up to 30 days in advance of the anticipated date of the local tax license. Timely filing will allow the state to issue alcohol license in 2 to 3 business days after the local license is issued.
