Alcohol Tax

Beginning September 1, 2017, Georgia is permitting licensed alcohol manufactures to sell directly to the public.

Rhode Island updated some of their excise taxes which apply to manufacturers, wholesalers, and distributors. These changes became effective July 1, 2016.

Effective January 2017, Philadelphia City will begin taxing sweetened beverages.

Illinois made enhancements to their Excise Tax Electronic Filing System. These updates took effect July 1, 2016.

Minnesota lays out the requirements for their alcohol suppliers on who must make accelerated payments for the period of July 1, 2014-June 30, 2015.

Massachusetts tobacco, fuel, and alcohol taxpayers will be required to file their taxes electronically starting January 1, 2016.

Beginning with the October 2014 filing period, Indiana will only accept XML E-file for alcohol tax filling.
