Massachusetts taxpayers will be required to e-file their taxes

Effective January 1, 2016, tobacco, fuel and alcohol tax payers are required to file and pay electronically. The taxpayers impacted by the new requirements are distributors, wholesalers, importers, exporters and suppliers of tobacco, cigarettes, gasoline, fuel, beverage alcohol products and more.

Filers of excise and sales and use tax returns are required to file electronically using the new Mass filing system.
